* Handy Tips * Part I

First of, i would like to thanks CriTx, Cyrus10j and cooldude21 for there kind support...it's quite motivating to get comments, so thanks guys!

Right, here are some really helpful tips about WYD...things i learnt the hard way while playing!

What ever you do, don't sell and scraps!!! I did that mistake many times...these scraps are used to create upgrading powders...there are 2 types of scraps; the "Oriharukon Scrap" (oris) and the "Laktorium Scrap". You can go to the Azran and find Jeffi, he makes upgrading powders, you need 10 scraps (ori or lak) and 1 million gold in your inventory to make 1 powder.

The difference between the two is that the ori powders make items reach +6, while the lak powder to +9.

I'm guessing most of you already know all this, but here's something i didn't know (thanks to Asteroid):

When you visit Jeffi, people tend to think that it costs 1 million gold (plus 10 scraps) to make 1 powder...well, they're wrong...it actually is, 1 million gold per visit!!! Which means that even if you have 60 lak scraps in your inventory, you only pay 1 million gold per visit (not 60 mil)!

I strongly urge that every player collect these scraps...and when you have filled your inventory (60 scraps), just make one visit to Jeffi and you will get 6 powders for only 1 million gold!

Hope this little tip will benefit all you guys and girls the way it helped me! Any questions, you know what to do...leave a comment! :P

...the Water

Here's a little tip i wished someone would have told me a lot earlier...the best way to learn the game - getting help and support from members, is through an Academy (or Guide). But more importantly, with an Academy, you get the chance to go to the famous "Water" (not 100% sure why they call it that, my best guess is coz it's in a waterfall lol).

One of the Academy's OP makes a party and takes its members to the Water, where the monsters in there give ridiculously more exp per kill! Trust me, you lvl up there way too fast. Make sure you find out the Water shifts for the Academy/Guide you want to join, to make sure that the shifts fit your daily schedule, and on which server the Academy/Guide is being held at.

For people how use wcoins, or those who have graduated their Academy and are not in any Guide, can go for a "Share". This is where a group of random people form a party, each with "Water Scrolls", where by collectively they have enough scrolls do carry out a full Water (just like in an Academy). The problem with this is that it's not free...you have to get scrolls to enter, but in Academies the GM gives scrolls for free.

So, my advice is join an Academy as soon as you can...and you'll see how much faster it is to lvl up. And if you have the money, join in on Shares, they are good fun. Just so you know, there are 2 types of Shares, the N (normal) and M (mystical). The M Shares are made for Gods, but if a mortal has enough money to enter one, you can get roughly 100 lvl easy (so i hear)...

Hope this has been once again helpful, in one way or another...and again, if any one has any questions, please leave a comment and i'll get right back at ya and give you as much help as i can.

Thanks for the continuous support guys...have fun playing WYD, and help me to help you...please leave comments!!!

...the Training

Right, now that you know a little more about the different characters, the next thing to do is something we refer to as the "Training Camp"...WYD are very generous, and they have made this quest as some kind of a "thank you for play our game". For people like me (who don't like reading quests) here's the deal with the first quest, by completing it, the game not only gives you free (random) prizes, but it even gives you very good armour and weapons (for free, making noob set to +3)...i strongly recommend all beginners to complete it...it will make the rest of the game so much easier...trust me!
Here's how you do it:

  • First you need to get the First Gate Key, by killing "GremlinDecoy"...make sure you sure the "Cabungkle wind" to buff your character. Once you get the First Gate Key, click on the "FirstTrainer". By doing this, you will receive Healing and Mana potions...now, use the key to go to the next stage.

  • Get the Second Gate Key, by killing "GiantCrill"...then go to the SecondTrainer, and click him. This trainer make your weapon(s) and armour refine - meaning it can be upgraded. Now, go to next stage with.

  • Get the Final Gate Key, by killing the "OrcSniper"...and, again, click on the TirdTrainer. Now you armour and weapons (the ones that are equipped) are all +3!!!

  • Now, the only thing left to do is kill the "OrcWarrior" and collect as many "Orc Emblem" as possible. This Emblem are used to get the random prizes from the "Trainer Chief" at the beginning of the quest. Give them to him, and he'll give you random prize!

So, that's it for the Training Camp...hope this was helpful and you all learned something from this. If anyone has any questions about this Quest, leave a comment and i'll get back to you ASAP!!! And if anyone else has any input, pointers, advise, etc...leave a comment too! :P

...the Heroes

First thing's first, i've always been asked which character is better...the truth is, they all good (in their own way), it's really up to you...which character you wanna use...there's only 4 to chose from. And don't worry you girls out there, 2 of them are females :P Each character is unique to appeal to different people and i'll try help clear it out for you guys....
The way i see it is that:

  • the Hunter is more of an average character, with average attack and magic, however, the defence is a bit low and hunters can't equip heavy armour. The best feature about the hunters is that the can use very good long-range weapons (bows) and stay far from damage.

  • the Beast Master is a summoner, with good attack and defence and can equip good weapons and armour, but, they are a bit low on the magic side. However, the best attribute of BMs is the shape-shifting (taking forms of animals).

  • the Feoma is good for one thing only...magic! There are weak characters (physically) with very low defence and attack, and cannot equip good armour. However, their lack of physical damage is made up with their serious deadly magic powers.

  • the Trans Knight is a hardcore warrior, with extremely high attack and defence, able to equip both good weapons and heavy armour. However, they do lack in magic section...but who needs magic when you can have massive weapons!

So, now you know the characters a bit better (the way i see them)...i'm a TransKnight fan, love to be in the action and using massive weapons!!!

So PLEASE guys, leave a comment, let me know what you think of the different characters, who you like and why you like them.

Hope this post has giving you beginners a better understanding of the characters.
